Raymond L. Datt

Raymond L. Datt, 82, of Shaler Township died Monday in UPMC Passavant hospital, McCandless Township.

He was born May 6, 1927, in Pittsburgh, to the late Anson and the late Minnie (Lisman) Datt.

Mr. Datt was employed for more than 27 years at Glenshaw Glass Co. as an equipment maintenance technician and served on its credit union board.

Mr. Datt was an elder of Calvert Memorial Presbyterian Church and was active in many church activities, especially its Bread of Life food pantry.

He was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy Brethauer of Hampton Township; a son-in-law, David Brethauer of Hampton Township; and granddaughters, Christine Brethauer, Sarah Brethauer and Amy Brethauer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Jean Datt, on Sept. 26, 2004; his daughter, Jean Ann Datt; and his sister, Ruthie Ridgeway.

<B>DATT</B> — Visitation for Raymond L. Datt, who died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Herbert R. King Jr. Funeral Home</B>, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday. Pastor Karen Vanderploeg will officiate. Interment will be in Hampton Cemetery, Allison Park.The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Bread of Life Food Pantry, c/o Calvert Memorial Church, Locust Street, Etna, PA 15223.
