WASHINGTON — Pennsylvania Rep. John Murtha was hospitalized with abdominal pains.

His spokesman said he was admitted to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., on Sunday night. The spokesman, Matt Mazonkey, said it was determined the 77-year-old retired Marine colonel has a gallbladder issue. Mazonkey said Murtha is resting and doing well at the hospital.

SHANKSVILLE — The Families of Flight 93 praised Congress for approving $4 million to pay for roads and other infrastructure at the Flight 93 Memorial.The first phase of the memorial is set to open on the 10th anniversary of the crash of the United Airlines jet that was hijacked during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Forty passengers and crew died.The survivors group said the $4 million approved as part of the Department of Transportation's 2010 fiscal budget will be combined with $725,000 in funds already received by the Interior Department.
