Ryan Ahl returned to the United States after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.Ahl, an infantryman with seven years of military service, is a member of A Co., 112th Infantry, Butler.He is the son of Rose M. Ahl of Butler.His wife Melissa is the daughter of Marvin Grossman and Judy Grossman, both of Prospect.The sergeant graduated in 2002 from Slippery Rock High School and received a bachelor's degree in 2007 from Slippery Rock University.———Army National Guard Sgt.
Justin Burkert returned to the United States after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.Burkert, an armor crew member, is a member of the 1st Battalion, 112th Infantry, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Butler. He has served in the military for six years.He is the son of Jeffrey and Lynn Burkert of Chicora.The sergeant graduated in 2004 from Butler High School and received an associate degree in 2008 from Butler County Community College.———Army National Guard Spec.
