John 'Jack' V. Rishor

John "Jack" V. Rishor, 82, of Butler passed away Sunday at his home.

He was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Huntingdon, W.Va., the son of the late John V. Rishor and the late Margaret (Brooks) Rishor.

He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where was a deacon and a member of the Coventry Choir.

He had owned and operated the Rishor News Agency in Butler.

Jack was a member of Butler Elks Club and the Esquire Club, and he was a former member of Butler Country Club.

He enjoyed all sports, especially playing golf.

He was a veteran of U.S. Navy, where he served aboard the USS Yellowstone.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, R. Irene Rishor of Butler; his son, Kurt and his wife, Elizabeth Rishor of Butler; his daughter, Sharon Rishor-Helsel of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Kinsey, Kyle, Seth and Quinn Rishor; and two sisters, Ann Moore of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jean Skelton of California.

He was preceded in death by an infant son and a sister.

<B>RISHOR </B>— Friends of John "Jack" V. Rishor, who died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
