PITTSBURGH — Steelers safety Troy Polamalu might not be ready to play Sunday in Miami.
Polamalu, out for the last six games and most of a seventh with a left knee injury, began running in a straight line only Monday. He has yet to begun cutting, turning or twisting, moves needed to play in a game.
Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday the five-time Pro Bowl player would be limited if he practices this week. Polamalu said recently he hoped to return for the Dolphins' game.
PITTSBURGH — Steelers linebacker James Harrison was chosen as an AFC Pro Bowl starter for the third consecutive season.Nose tackle Casey Hampton is the only other Steelers player on the AFC team, which was announced Tuesday. This is the fifth time in six seasons Hampton has been chosen.
PITTSBURGH — Vanessa Abel scored 17 points to lead a balanced offense and Duquesne upset No. 20 Pittsburgh 72-63 Tuesday.Alex Gensler added 14 points for the Dukes.Duquesne (10-4), which has won four of five, took the lead for good midway through the first half.Taneisha Harrison led Pitt (10-2) with 17 points. Shayla Scott added 16 points and Chelsea Cole had a game-high 21 rebounds for the Panthers, who had a 13-game home winning streak snapped.
