Audrey M. Francisco

Audrey M. Francisco, 88, of Walnut Street, Emlenton, died at 6 p.m. Monday at UPMC Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Francisco was born in Jeannette on Oct. 7, 1921. She was the daughter of Robert N. and Sue Dean Milliren.

She attended high school in Grove City and graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1939 as salutatorian. She also was a graduate of the Franklin Business School.

Mrs. Francisco had been employed by the Sterling Division of the Quaker State Oil Refining Corp. as an executive secretary and retired from the administrative department of Quaker State after 43 years.

She was a longtime member of the Emlenton United Methodist Church. Audrey was raised a Lutheran, and in her early years, she attended the St. Peter Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg. She was a member of the Garden Club of Clarion County and the Emlenton Civic Club and was a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star.

She and her sister, Ruth, were very close. They enjoyed traveling and spending time together.

She is survived by her husband, Wendell E. Francisco. The couple celebrated 63 years of marriage on Jan. 18, 2009. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth M. and Charles R. Vasey of St. Petersburg; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert J. Milliren and William C. Milliren.

<B>FRANCISCO</B> — Funeral services for Audrey M. Francisco, who died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Emlenton United Methodist Church, Kerr Avenue, Emlenton, with the Rev. James W. Kimmel, church pastor, and the Rev. Deborah K. Jacobson, pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church, St. Petersburg, co-officiating.
