Gabert Delano Molnar

Gabert Delano Molnar, 88, of Center Township, formerly of Gibsonia, Allegheny County, died at 6:45 a.m., Friday in the Autumn Grove Care Center, Harrisville.

Born Nov. 16, 1921, in Namacolon, he was the son of the late Bert Molnar and Julia Szabo Molnar.

Mr. Molnar was a long-term employee for General Electric's major appliance business retiring in 1983.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific campaign with the Adjunct Generals Section of the Headquarters Service Command in Caledonia and the New Hebrides.

Mr. Molnar was a Presbyterian.

Mr. Molnar is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mildred B Sahli Molnar of Butler; a son, Gabert D. Molnar Jr. of Broadview Heights, Ohio; a daughter, Cynthia M. and her husband Charles A. Kuehn Jr. of Wixom, Mich.; two grandsons, Charles A. Kuehn III of East Lansing, Mich. and Paul D. Kuehn of Wixom, Mich.; two brothers, Alexander Molnar and William J. Molnar; 23 nieces; and 12 nephews.

Mr. Molnar was preceded in death by a son, Gary Richard Molnar; three brothers, John S. Molnar, Albert B. Molnar and Robert E. Molnar; and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Breakiron, Mrs. Helen Nemes and Mrs. Bertha Davis.

<B>MOLNAR — </B>Friends of Gabert Delano Molnar, who died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the<B> THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME,</B> 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis W. Molnar of Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh and the Rev. Christina Ingold of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Monessen officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of the Savior at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, 943 Route 910, Cheswick.Information and a private guest book is available at www.thompson-miller.com.
