James McAnallen Jr.
James B. McAnallen Jr., 89, of Butler, formerly of Chicora, died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday at the Chicora Medical Center following an illness.
Born on May 16, 1920, in Donegal Township, he was the son of James B. Sr. and Isabelle V. Marsch McAnallen.
He was a 1937 graduate of Karns City High School.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Infantry in the European Theatre of Operations, and he was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Dierken Ritzert American Legion Post 642 of Chicora and the Elks Club of St. Marys, W.Va.
Mr. McAnallen was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler, and he had been a member of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora and St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church at both Sugarcreek and Bradys Bend for many years.
He had been employed by the Raytheon Corp. in Philadelphia as a construction specialist for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille H. McAnallen; two children, James B. McAnallen III of Butler and B. Elaine Boyd and her husband, James M., of Renfrew; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Main St., Chicora, with the Rev. Joseph Pudichery, church pastor, officiating.
