Josephine M. Costa, of 2452 Willowhurst Circle, New Castle, died Thursday evening at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born May 28, 1934, in West Pittsburg, she was the daughter of the Bruno and Vincenza Gambero Attisano.

She married Robert W. Costa on June 17, 1961. He preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1997.

Mrs. Costa retired as an office worker for Penn Power in 1994.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church.

Mrs. Costa was also a member of the Penn Power Retirees, the Shenango Volunteer Fire Ladies Auxiliary, the New Castle Class of 1953 reunion committee and the West Pittsburg Seniors.

She enjoyed cooking and baking, casino trips, puzzle books, watching TV, her two cats, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Robert A. Costa of New Castle; a sister, Mary Ann Carangie and her husband, Benjamin, of West Pittsburg; and a sister-in-law, Anita Attisano on New Castle.

In addition to her parents and husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by a brother; Larry A. Attisano.

<B>COSTA</B> — Visitation for Josephine M. Costa, who died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory</B>, 941 S. Mill St., New Castle.A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. The Rev.
