Local residents depart for D.C. for March for Life
About 400 people left this morning in buses from the Butler area to attend the March for Life in Washington, D.C., today to protest the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade court decision to legalize abortion.
They will join thousands of other protesters for the annual march.
There were 11 buses that picked up people from a number of sites around Butler County.
Among those attending are: Peggy Hutchinson, co-coordinator of the march for Holy Sepulcher Church who has attended the march for almost 30 years; Gretchen Cararie, Butler County coordinator for the march who has attended for 36 years; and Bob Cararie, chairman of Pennsylvanians for Human Life, Butler County Chapter who has attended off and on for 36 years.
The buses will return to Butler tonight.
