Donna M. Deddo

Deddo

Donna M. Deddo, wife of Kenneth Deddo of 211 Blackthorn Drive, Butler, passed away in Butler Memorial Hospital early Monday, December 21, 2009.

Donna was born to Junius and Elsie Riggle Crocker on April 20, 1933, in Chicago. After graduating from St. Scholastica High School in 1952, Donna worked in retail. She and Ken married at St. Ignatius Church on Aug. 21, 1954,

The family moved to The Finger Lakes Region of New York in 1962 where Donna acted as a Cub and Girl Scout leader and participated in a bowling league. They moved to Lewisburg, Pa., in 1971.

Ken founded his business, Allegheny Pump, in 1976, and the family relocated to Butler in 1978. Donna became active in the business, acting as treasurer.

Donna always made friends easily, and was soon involved in several bridge clubs, joined the Butler Country Club, and acted as treasurer for the Town & Country Garden Club. She was also a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

During the year, Donna looked forward to an annual trip to Ocean City, Md., with two life-long friends, and spending holidays and family time at her "bachelorette pad" in Lewisburg. She and Ken enjoyed traveling with friends. In keeping with her generous and loving nature, Donna took her entire family on a Caribbean Cruise to celebrate her 70th birthday.

In addition to her husband of 55 years, Donna is survived by the following children and grandchildren: Kim, her husband John, and John Jr. of Montandon, Pa.; Ken, his wife Debbie, sons Kyle and Evan of Valencia Pa.; Laura Iarrapino and her children Marc and Emily of Butler; Gina, her husband Carl Pardoe and their children Ryan, Tyler, and Miranda of Montandon, Pa.; and Donna, her husband Marc Worona and their girls Michaela and Lauren of Sonoma, Calif. Her brother, Fr. John Crocker, S.J., of Chicago, also survives.

Her granddaughter, Elissa Pardoe, predeceased her in death in 1990.

<B>DEDDO</B> — Friends of Donna M. Deddo, who died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Fidelis in Meridian. A luncheon for friends will follow at their home on Blackthorn Drive.On Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the John Shaw III Funeral Home, 801 Market St., Lewisburg. Burial will take place in the Montandon Cemetery, followed by a luncheon for friends at the Pardoe home.Donations in Donna's memory may be made to the Celiac Disease Foundation, 132251 Ventura Blvd. No. 1, Studio City, CA, 91501.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
