Clayborne 'Clay' Rosebrooks

Clayborne "Clay" Rosebrooks, 69, of Clearfield Road, Fenelton, died unexpectedly of natural causes Wednesday morning at his home.

Mr. Rosebrooks was born in Massachusetts on Oct. 11, 1940. He was the son of George and Lois Fisher Rosebrooks.

He was a social member of the American Legion Post at Cowansville, where he enjoyed bartending. He also enjoyed country music, karaoke, and collecting eagles.

Mr. Rosebrooks was a self- employed mechanic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Effner Rosebrooks, who died Jan. 26, 1996.

Surviving are three children, Mandy Shuler and her husband Robert of Herman, Clay Rosebrooks Jr. and his wife Laura, and Christina Framppton and her husband Mike, all of Felton, Del. Also surviving are a sister, Lois Rosebrooks of New York, nine grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren.

<B>ROSEBROOKS —</B> Friends of Clayborne "Clay" Rosebrooks, who died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at <B>HILE FUNERAL HOME, </B>339 Chicora-Fenelton Rd., Chicora. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Pistorious, pastor, St. John Reformed Church, Chicora, officiating.
