Markowski

Emma (Cagni) Markowski, 91, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Oct. 25, 1918, in Florida, the daughter of Harvey and Mary Behringer.

Emma was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, the Tanglewood Senior Center and Plus 60. She retired in 1980 from the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Surviving are three children, Dana Cagni and his wife, Donna, of Butler, Connie Jones and her husband, John, of Butler, and Charles Cagni Jr.; two stepsons, Donald Markowski and his wife, Theresa, of Ben Avon and Robert Markowski and his wife, Toni, of West Virginia; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles A. Cagni Sr., who died April 23, 1971, and by her second husband, Leon A. Markowski, who died on Feb. 11, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Dean Cagni; a grandson, Michael Shawn Cagni; two brothers, Harvey and Harold Behringer; and two sisters, Frances Braun and Violet Srock.

<B>MARKOWSKI</B> — There will be no visitation for Emma Cagni Markowski, who died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates. A memorial Mass will be scheduled later.Arrangements are by <B>YOUNG FUNERAL HOME</B> of Butler.
