Huffman

Alice J. Huffman, 84, of Adams Township, Mars, died Thursday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in West Fairfield Township, Westmoreland County, Oct. 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Clara Forsythe Fester Sr.

She was a member of the Mars Alliance Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen Knox (Rich) of Mars; four sons, Dale "Butch" Huffman (Barb) and Dennis Huffman (Roberta), both of Mars, Doug Huffman (Cheryl Benko) of Freeport and David Huffman (Denise) of Cochranton; four sisters, Marion DeHart, Dixie Lawther (Harry) and Mildred Lazenby, all of Mars and Annie Bucci (Tom) of Ellwood City; two brothers, Homer R. Fester (Vera) of Eau Claire and Robert K. Fester (Diane) of Cranberry Township; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale E. Huffman, who she married Aug. 31, 1942, and who died April 15, 1998; a daughter, Cindy Taylor; two infant children; a sister, Helen Tedder; and two brothers, Harold and William Fester.

Huffman, who died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home Inc.,</B> 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Cope, pastor of Mars Alliance Church, officiating.
