William G. Foerster

William G. Foerster, 77, of Cranberry Township died Monday at his home.

Born July 23, 1932, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late J. Edward and Eleanor Heyl Foerster.

Mr. Foerster was a faithful member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, and he was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

He was the former owner of Reed Mobile Homes and developer of Reed Mobile Home Park in Cranberry Township.

He loved relaxing and boating at his Conneaut Lake home.

William also was a "silent philanthropist" to many.

He is survived by his wife, Rose E. (DeMarco) Foerster who he married Aug. 2, 1952; a daughter, Theresa Marie Bogacki and her husband, Thomas, of Penn Township; two sons, David Michael Foerster and his wife, Cynthia, of Little Rock, Ark., and Karl Thomas Foerster and his wife, Tracey, of Robinson Township; two sisters, Mary McLaughlin of the North Side and Virginia Muth of Allison Park; eight grandchildren, Christine (Michael) Rihel, Michael and Gregory Bogacki, Matthew, Daniel and Julie Foerster, and Leah and Eric Foerster; and two great-grandsons, Zachary Barnett and Michael Rihel.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Paul Foerster, who died in 1976; three brothers: John Foerster, Thomas J. Foerster, former chairman of the Allegheny County commissioners, and James Foerster; and a sister, Miriam Clark.

<B>FOERSTER</B> — Friends of William G. Foerster, who died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.
