Edna L. Thompson
Edna L. Thompson, 75, of West Sunbury passed away at 12:10 p.m. Monday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 7, 1934, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Clifford C. Schran and the late Dorothy (Janovich) Schran.
Edna was a member of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church. She was a former Sunday school teacher with an extensive card ministry.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and embroidering.
Edna was a former Republican committee woman for Oakland Township.
Surviving are her husband, Donald R. Thompson, who she married July 25, 1952; her daughter, Vicky L. Wise and her husband, Rick, of Butler; two sons, Larry A. Thompson and his wife, Darcy, of Butler and Jim L. Thompson and his wife, Linda, of West Sunbury; four grandchildren, Christopher Wise his wife, Amy, Lisa Still and her husband, Christopher, Kimberly McClellan and her husband, Rob, and Kylene Kozik and her husband, Keith; seven great-grandchildren, Sierra Lily Wise, Clifford and Dorothy Still, Leah and Levi McClellan and Kaden and Kohen Kozik; and three sisters, her twin Lillian and her husband, Richard J. Grundler of Zelienople, Janet and her husband, Robert Knoebel of Ross Township and Sherol and her husband, John Trunzer of North Hills.
<B>THOMPSON</B> — Friends of Edna L. Thompson, who died Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kurt Knobel of Thorn Creek United Methodist Church, and friend of the family, the Rev. Ralph Storm, officiating.
