Timothy John Yerger

Timothy John Yerger, 60, of Kittanning died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 17, 1949, in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of Emory B. Yerger and Edith E. (Homan) Yerger.

He had worked as a vac operator for the missiles in Cape Canaveral, Fla. He then worked for McClymonds Transfer & Supply and then for Don Martin Trucking until his illness.

He was a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.

He loved gardening and yardwork and especially liked truck pulls.

Surviving are his soul mate of 17 years, Pam Wise; a son, Jason Yerger of Minerva, Ohio; a daughter, Melinda Yerger of Willis, Va.; a son, Greg Wise of Kittanning; three grandsons, Nathaniel Yerger and Jayden Yerger of Minerva, Ohio, and Tonyo Yerger of Willis, Va.; and a granddaughter, who was his pride and joy, U.S. Army Spc. Tiffany Marie Wise, currently serving her country in Iraq, and her fiance, U.S. Army Spc. Matthew Madrid. Also surviving are two brothers, Ronald Yerger (Sue) of Westland, Mich., and David Horton (Mary) of Lewisville, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

<B>YERGER</B> — Friends of Timothy John Yerger, who died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home</B>, Kittanning. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor John Smith officiating.
