William Potsubay

William J. "Potsy" Potsubay, 55, of Eau Claire-Hilliards passed away Saturday in Youngstown, Ohio.

He was born Sept. 4, 1954, in Butler, the son of William E. Potsubay and the late Helen S. (Hilliard) Potsubay.

He was a member of Hilliards Methodist Church.

He attended Washington Elementary School and was a 1972 graduate of Moniteau High School.

He worked at J.M. Beatty Automotive and Koppers and then went to Hunter Truck Sales on Route 8, Butler, as parts manager.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper; and he played in the Highland Golf League.

He recently celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary, with his wife, Ginger A. Bray Potsubay, who he married Jan. 18, 1985. Also surviving are a daughter, Kendra A. Potsubay at home; two sons, Wade J. and his wife, Amanda Potsubay, of Eau Claire and Grant W. Potsubay at home; a granddaughter, Kellynn J. Potsubay; his father of Hilliards; a sister, Karen Lutz of Slippery Rock; a brother, David A. and his wife, Cindy Potsubay of Volant; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen S. Potsubay; and his brother-in-law, James Lutz.

<B>POTSUBAY</B> — Friends of William J. "Potsy" Potsubay, who died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home with his pastor, the Rev. James Lewis, officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Varnum Cemetery.
