Elmerine 'Enie' Spahn

Elmerine "Enie" Spahn of Butler will celebrate her 90th birthday.

The former Elmerine Jackman was born March 3, 1920, in Summit Township. She married LeRoy Spahn on July 30, 1946, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman. He is deceased.

She has three children, Dean Spahn, Marsha Alvino and Keith Spahn, all of Butler.

She also has two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She is a homemaker. She was employed at the Castle Rubber and Pullman Shell Shop during World War II.

She sang for more than 65 years in her church choir and is still an active member. She attends St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman.
