Elizabeth and Christopher Madgwick

Elizabeth Nicklas Johnson of Dallas, Texas, and Christopher Madgwick of Georgetown, Texas, were united in marriage Jan. 10 at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Dallas. The Rev. Jon Bustard officiated. A reception followed at the Kingdome Activity Center at the church.

The bride is the daughter of James T. (Tim) and Carolyn Nicklas Johnson of Dallas and the granddaughter of Bernice Nicklas of Butler and the late Cassius Nicklas. Parents of the bridegroom are Henry Madgwick Jr. of Lubbock, Texas, and the late Lynnette Madgwick.

The maid of honor was Dawn Quiett of Dallas. Bridesmaids included Suzanne Dunai and Stevie Barnes, both of Austin, Texas. The junior bridesmaid was Lillie Parnell of Dallas. The flower girl was Emmah Patty of Dallas.

Performing the duties of best man was Chad Koch of Austin. Groomsmen included Leo Aguilar of Floresville, Texas, and Christopher Kirby of Waxahachie, Texas. Ushers included Thomas Kirby of Waxahachie, Texas, and Eric Sullivan of Dallas.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas and a 2009 graduate of the University of North Texas, where she received a bachelor's degree in history. She plans to pursue a master's degree this fall in medieval European history at St. Edward's University in Austin.

The bridegroom graduated in 2001 from Frenship High School in Lubbock and in 2006 from with a bachelor's degree in theology from Texas Lutheran University in Sequin, Texas. He is employed by Christ Lutheran Church in Georgetown.

Following a honeymoon trip to Rome, Italy, the couple is making their home in Georgetown, Texas.
