Nagy Sr.

Paul A. Nagy Sr., 47, of Chicora died early Tuesday morning at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a short battle with cancer.

Born Jan. 20, 1963, in Butler, he was a son of Esther (Undercuffler) Bachman and the late Thomas McCommon.

He had worked for Ibis Tek in East Butler in their shipping and receiving department.

He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles and was a loving and caring person to his many friends.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann (Hilliard) Nagy; four sons, Paul A. Nagy Jr., Benjamin Nagy, U. S. Marine Corps and his wife, Hillary, of Cherry Point, N.C., and Alex Nagy and Thomas Nagy, both of Chicora; a daughter, Kirsten Nagy of Florida; a grandson, Kase; five brothers, Thomas McCommon, and his wife, Laural, of Butler, Martin McCommon of Connoquenessing, Richard Nagy and his wife, Cheryl, of South Carolina, Daniel Manning and his wife, Denise, of Butler and Frank Nagy, and his wife, Debbie, of Butler; five sisters, Sherrie Nagy of Butler, Joan Roddy of Oil City, Tammy Smith of Saxonburg, Lori Gallagher of Butler and Beth Ann Manning of Virginia; his mother, Esther Bachman of Butler; his stepfather, Frank A. Nagy of Fenelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher; and a brother, Mike McCommon.

<B>Nagy</B> — Friends of Paul A. Nagy Sr., who died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. The Rev. Nick Argentieri, of St. Paul Catholic Church, Butler, will officiate.
