James McLaren

James McLaren, 75, of Freedom died Tuesday at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born in Sharon, March 29, 1934, he was the son of the late David and Elizabeth (Spence) McLaren.

Mr. McLaren was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean War.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of the Oak Hill Alliance Church in Cranberry Township.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Tohm) McLaren; two sons, James David McLaren and Jeffrey Carl McLaren; a daughter, Mary Lynn Hefner; a brother, Robert McLaren; a sister, Margaret Hunyadi; and three granddaughters, Michelle Millender, Stephanie McLaren and Brenda McLaren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, David and John McLaren; and sisters, Susan James, Helen Giroski, and Pauline, and Betty Covert.

<B>MCLAREN </B>— Friends of James McLaren, who died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
