Audrey M. Richardson
Audrey Maxine (Bachman) Richardson, 79, of Hidden Meadows Circle, Renfrew, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday in her home.
Born June 13, 1930, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Henry John Bachman and Hilda Nellie (Risch) Bachman.
Mrs. Richardson was a graduate of Slippery Rock State University, where she received both her bachelor's and master's degrees. She was an elementary teacher for the Butler School District at the Connoquenessing School. She retired in 1992.
She was a member of the Butler Area School Retirees, the Pennsylvania Area School Retirees, the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Meridian Area Retired Citizens.
She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she formerly was a Sunday school teacher and was an active member and past president of the Women of the Church.
Mrs. Richardson enjoyed reading, traveling and doing crossword puzzles. She also had been a Girl Scout leader.
Mrs. Richardson is survived by her husband, Clyde Richardson, who she married Oct. 23, 1951; two daughters, Beverly Rikal and her husband, Mark, of Nashville, Tenn., and Gwen Pesci and her husband, Richard, of Butler; four grandchildren, Jarrod Rikal of Galatin, Tenn., Neal Rikal of Bowling Green, Ky., Megan Pesci of Slippery Rock, and Chad Pesci of Butler; one brother, William Bachman of Conneaut Lake; two sisters, Shirley Stewart of Butler and Phyllis Harper of Palmyra, Pa.; and by seven nieces and 12 nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara, and four brothers.
<B>RICHARDSON</B> — Friends of Audrey Maxine (Bachman) Richardson, who died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
