Frank Bruno Jr., 86, of Butler died Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Butler, a son of the late Frank Bruno Sr. and the late Sara Hale Bruno.

Frank was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was retired from Pangborn Industries, where he worked for more than 20 years.

Frank was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Butler. He was the former president of the Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department and was a life member of the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department.

His wife, Julia Torosi Bruno, who he married Jan. 10, 1944, survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Donna Gregory of Butler; his grandchildren, Anissa McDeavitt and her husband, Timothy McDeavitt, of Ellwood City, Kelly Weber and her husband, Jason Weber, of Grove City, and Scott Gregory of Butler; six great-grandchildren, Rachel, Emily and Shawn Coulter, Kane and Kyle Weber, and Timothy McDeavitt and his wife, Brooke McDeavitt; and one great-great-grandchild, Alexus Hinds. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister. His son-in-law, Michael Gregory, also preceded him.

<B>BRUNO</B> — Friends of Frank Bruno Jr., who died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. in Butler. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. James Swanson, pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, officiating.
