Wetzel 65th anniversary

The Wetzels in 1945

Wilfred "Bill" and Madeline Wetzel of Sarver celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner at Davison's Restaurant in Sarver.

Wetzel married the former Madeline Carnahan on March 17, 1945, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Saxonburg.

They have seven children, Doris Miller of Natrona Heights, Wes Wetzel of Ford Cliff, Bonnie Yates of Cabot, Billie Wetzel of Cabot, Linda Heade of Saxonburg, Tom Wetzel of Sarver and Jim Wetzel of Sarver. Another child, Dana Robinson, is deceased.

They also have 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Wetzel is a farmer and is retired from Moonlight Mushroom.

Mrs. Wetzel is a homemaker.

The Wetzels are members of the Golden Agers.

They attend St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Saxonburg.
