Dawn Williams
Dawn Williams, 48, of Argentine-Hilliards passed away early Sunday morning at VA Butler Healthcare following an extended illness.
Born Oct. 30, 1961, she was the daughter of Merriel M. Rihel and the late Delbert E. Williams.
She was a graduate of Karns City High School.
Ms. Williams attended the Martinsburg Church in Bruin.
Dawn served in the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1983 and was stationed in Fort Carson, Colo., where she reached the rank of E6 before being honorably discharged and placed in the U.S. Army Reserves for two years.
Ms. Williams was a bus driver at Jerry Campbell's for many years, where she was affectionately known as "Sarge." Dawn also worked as a record specialist at Iron Mountain.
She was continually active at Moniteau High School as a talented seamstress for the schools musicals for many years as well as being involved with football, Little League and the Boy Scouts before becoming ill.
She is survived by her mother, Merriel M. Rihel Williams; two sons, Jedediah Daniel Williams of Hilliards and David Eugene Williams-Abeyta of Edinboro; one sister, Melissa A. Kaiser (Joseph) of Butler; four brothers, Delbert C. Williams of North Washington, Samuel E. Williams (Stacie) of Bruin, Clayton M. Williams (Tammy) of Clarion and Karl E. Williams of Boyers; one grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents.
<B>WILLIAMS</B> — Friends of Dawn Williams, who died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, may be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Main Street, Eau Claire. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m.A memorial service will be held at the Martinsburg Presbyterian Church in Bruin.
