Elsie M. Kelly
Elsie M. Kelly, 82, formerly of Bruin, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital following an illness.
She was born in Fairview Borough in Butler County, Nov. 20, 1927, and was a daughter of the late James Michael and Florence Harmon Michael.
She was a lifelong member of Fairview United Presbyterian Church, was devoted to her husband and family, and enjoyed being a homemaker.
Following graduation from Fairview Township Karns City High School, she was a secretary with Penacoal in Petrolia for several years.
She married Dick Kelly on Oct. 29, 1948, in Fairview United Presbyterian Church, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 2000.
Surviving are her children, Duane Kelly and his wife, Cindy, of Butler, Janice Potter and her husband, Bruce, of Northboro, Mass., and Alan Kelly and his wife, Melissa, of Bruin; and five grandchildren, Christopher Kelly and Ryan Kelly, both of Pittsburgh, Bryan Potter and Kelly Potter, both of Northboro, Mass., and Tyler Kelly of Bruin. Also surviving are two brothers, Arthur Michael and his wife, Jean, of Chicora and Joe Michael and his wife, Anita, of Clarion; one sister, Marie McElhatten of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Everett Michael.
