Jayne E. LeFevre McConnell Vodenichar

Jayne E. LeFevre McConnell Vodenichar, 70, of Sandy Lake died Monday at the home of her daughter near Slippery Rock.

She was born Aug. 3, 1939, in Butler, a daughter of the late Frank C. "Skip" and Garnet Haben LeFevre.

Jayne was a 1957 graduate of Butler High School.

She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother, and she was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

She was the former dining room manager at the Butler Country Club for 13 years until her retirement in 1996.

Surviving are her husband, James L. Vodenichar, who she married Feb. 21, 1984; three daughters and their husbands, Traci and Tim Wilson of Slippery Rock, Linda and Denny Heichel of Butler, and Jennifer and Brad McMillian of Bradenton, Fla.; four stepchildren, Leigh King of Sandy Lake, Jeff Vodenichar of Butler, Lynn Maloney of Meadville and Dr. Jenny Fisher of State College; two sisters, Sally Schnitzer of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Charlene Phillips of Butler; a brother, Paul "Skip" LeFevre of Butler; a stepbrother, William Hulton of Butler; five grandchildren, David Heichel and his wife, Kayla Heichel, of Butler, Cory Mashuda of Pittsburgh, Jamie Heichel of Butler and Caitlyn Campbell and Savannah McMillian, both of Bradenton, Fla.; four step-grandchildren, Lauren Davis and Beth King, both of Sandy Lake, and Kurt and Keith Vodenichar Maloney, both of Meadville; a step-great-granddaughter, Lanie Davis of Sandy Lake; and an aunt, Mary Loveless of Laurel, Md. Her former husband, David McConnell of Pittsburgh; and her very special friend, Judy Ferree, along with several nieces and nephews also survive her.

Her brother, John C. LeFevre, and her step-granddaughter, Dana King, preceded her in death.

<B>VODENICHAR </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Jayne E. LeFevre McConnell Vodenichar, who died Monday, March 8, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Cremation will follow and inurnment will take place at the St. Peter Cemetery, Butler.The St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:40 a.m. Thursday at the church to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
