Wilbert L. 'Will' Kiley
Wilbert L. "Will" Kiley, 85, formerly of Oak Hills and a resident of Concordia Assisted Living at Oertel, died Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
He was born May 6, 1924, in Herman, a son of the late Lawrence J. and Marie Schnur Kiley.
Will retired as a maintenance supervisor at the Portersville Equipment Co. after 26 years. He then worked for an additional seven years as a custodian at the Butler Senior High School gymnasium and swimming pool.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 249 in Butler and also a member of the American Legion Post 117.
Will was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler and was formerly active with St. Peter's Boy Scout Troop 3.
His wife, Ruth "Muff" Heasley Kiley, who he married Feb. 12, 1947, preceded him in death Nov. 6, 1996. One son, one brother and eight sisters also preceded him in death.
Surviving are his children and their spouses, Theodore L. and Barbara Kiley of Lyndora, Robert J. Kiley of Pittsburgh, Patricia and Barry Moore of Cabot, and Kathy and Robert Allison of Butler; five grandchildren, Angie Sneddon and her husband, Beau Sneddon, Brandy Davison and her husband, Craig Davison, Lori Georg, Patrick Kiley and Shawn Collins; five great-grandchildren, Parker, Spencer and Savannah Sneddon, Alex Davison and Ian Georg; two brothers, Joseph Kiley of Butler and Cletus Kiley of Herman; and two sisters, Charmaine Wulff and her husband, Donald Wulff, of Butler, and Mrs. Darlene Bailey also of Butler. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.
<B>KILEY </B>— Friends of Wilbert L. "Will" Kiley, who died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Stakem, O.F.M.
