Harry 'Butch' Penrod
Harry L. "Butch" Penrod, 60, of Butler, formerly of Herman, died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, following major health problems.
Born in Butler, Oct. 18, 1949, he was the son of Harry L. and Ada M. Hinterlighter Penrod.
Mr. Penrod had been a truck driver for many years.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.
Surviving are a son, John Penrod and his wife, Cheri, of Butler; three daughters, Lisa Johnston and her husband, John Jr., of Butler, Lori Wiles and her husband, Ron, of West Sunbury and Ada Ferguson of Valencia; 10 grandchildren, Zachary and Dillon Johnston, Jay and Lauren Wiles, Riley, Joshua and Owen Ferguson and John Jr., Cassidy and Samantha Penrod; a brother, Karl Penrod and his wife, Sharon, of Mars; and two sisters, Martha Karch and her husband, Regis, of Herman and Brenda Koebler of Connoquenessing.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lynn A. Penrod, who died Sept. 22, 2001.
<B>PENROD</B> — Friends of Harry L. "Butch" Penrod, who died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets, Chicora. Visitation also will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeremy Andrews, pastor of the McKee Chapel of Fenelton, officiating.
