Dale L. Willison, 71, of 116 Buttercup Road in Butler died unexpectedly Sunday at his residence.

He was born Dec. 27, 1938, in Butler, a son of the late Russell and Lois Piefly Willison.

Dale worked at Armco Steel and AK Steel in Butler for 42 years and retired as the supervisor of stores in 2000. For the past five years, he has worked for K & S Services in Butler.

Dale was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lyndora. He was the former treasurer of his church, a member of the Church Committee and the Altar Society.

He also was a member of the Armco Veterans Club, the Butler Armco Employees Association and the Highfield Community Center.

His wife, Carole S. Zaludek Willison, whom he married June 10, 1961, survives him. Also surviving are his children and their spouses, Carrie L. and Tim Blose of Butler, Amy S. and Tom Brew of Slippery Rock and Robert P. and Elizabeth Willison, also of Slippery Rock; a brother, James Willison of Meridian; and six grandchildren, Matthew and Rachael Blose, Helena Brew and Hannah, Nathaniel and Isabelle Willison. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

A brother preceded him in death.

<B>WILLISON</B> — Friends of Dale L. Willison, who died Sunday, March 21, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. in Butler. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lyndora with Father Douglas Lorance, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.Parasta's services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday from the funeral home.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
