Mary E. Fry Males

Males

Mary E. Fry Males, 102, formerly of Meridian where she had lived for 94 years, died at 5:05 a.m. Friday in the Concordia at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park.

Born Oct. 28, 1907, in Meridian, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Fry and Melvina Huselton Fry.

Mrs. Males was a homemaker and a former sales lady at Friedman's, S.S. Kresge and J.D. Offutt's. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Reformed Church.

Mrs. Males sang in the church choir for many years, and loved to play the organ and piano. She was an artist in watercolors, oil and pastels and exhibited award winning art at Rebecca Residence, Passavant Hospital and Churchill Country Club. She attended Butler Business College.

Mrs. Males is survived by her son, Ronald G. Males and his wife, Corinne, of Allison Park; five grandchildren, Kimberly Males of Hampton, Leslie Males and her companion, David Novak, of Wexford, Lori Schneider and her husband, Mark, of Mars, Michael Males of Conneaut Lake and Karen Males-Benson and her husband, Francis, of Meridian; two great grandchildren, Amanda Novak and Melissa Males, who is expecting Mary's first great-grandson; and by a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Mrs. Males was preceded in death by her husband, August A. Males, who she married on Oct. 22, 1930, and who passed away Oct. 16, 1981; and one infant daughter who passed away Nov. 9, 1933.

Mary is the last of nine children. She was preceded in death by six brothers, two sisters.

<B>Males </B>— Friends of Mary E. Fry Males, who died Friday, March 26, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc.,</B> 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Reformed Church with the Rev. Robert Peterson of St. John's Reformed Church officiating. Entombment will be at Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum in Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Reformed Church, 439 Evans City Road, Butler, PA 16001, or Concordia Lutheran Ministries at Rebecca Residence, 3746 Cedar Ridge Road, Allison Park, PA 15101.
