SV keeps Rams hitless in win

Zac Cavaliero of Butler, who partnered with Emil Kemp, returns a shot to the Seneca Valley No. 2 doubles team of Lee Chandler and Mayank Parashar Monday. Cavaliero and Kemp took a 6-2, 6-3 victory to help the Golden Tornado to a 5-0 win over the Raiders.

Emily Watson pitched a six-inning no-hitter and had two doubles, a single and four RBI to power the Seneca Valley softball team to a 10-0 victory over Pine-Richland Monday.

Watson fanned eight batters with no walks. The Rams had only one baserunner, who reached on an error.

Julia Vandrak had a single, a double and three RBI for the Raiders.

• Kate Williams homered and singled, and Brooke Hiles had two singles and a triple as Karns City held off Venango Catholic 6-4.

• Shawna Peace had a pair of singles, but Slippery Rock fell to Leechburg 15-1 in five innings. The Blue Devils banged out 16 hits and plated nine runs in the fourth inning.

• Meghan Cratty tripled for A-C Valley, but Clarion came away with an 8-2 victory.
