Goldie Browning

Goldie Mueller Browning, 80, of Indiana, and formerly of Homer City, both in Indiana County, passed away Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.

She was born in 1929 to Ruth (Bhe) Buterbaugh in Johnstown.

Goldie was a member of the Homer City United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Bill Mueller and his wife, Valerie, of Butler; two daughters, Christine Haas of Manheim, Lancaster County, and Robin Grejtak of Indiana.; five grandchildren, Sharon Lopata and her husband, Doug, of Avon, Ohio, Dan Grejtak of Indiana, Brenda Syers and her husband, Chris, of Greenville, N.C., Mark Grejtak of Indiana, and Julie Grejtak and her fiancee, Mike Maggio, of Homer City; two great-granddaughters, Alexa and Hanna Lopata; a sister, Imogene Berriman of Florida; a sister-in-law, Joan Buterbaugh of Johnstown; and her loyal pet and friend, Annie.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her first husband, William L. Mueller, in 1991; her second husband, the Rev. Dr. Scott D. Browning, in 2008; a brother, Al Buterbaugh; and a great-grandson, Dylan Syers.

<B>BROWNING</B> — Friends of Goldie Mueller Browning, who died Monday, April 5, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Bowser-Minich Funeral Home</B>, 500 Ben Franklin Road South, Indiana. Visitation also be held from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Homer City United Methodist Church with a service following at 1 p.m. with Pastor Joe Stains officiating. Interment will take place in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
