2 Pittsburgh men charged in robbery of First National

PINE TWP, Mercer County — Two Pittsburgh men who are charged with robbing the First National Bank on Route 58 and escaping in a stolen vehicle April 26 are in two prisons.

Anthony Carl Wilson, 24, of the Hill District and Taylor William Coleman, 21, of Somers Street are in the Allegheny County Prison and the Mercer County Prison, respectively.

Wilson already was in prison for a separate charge after he was picked up on an escape warrant for fleeing a halfway house in March, according to state police Cpl. Douglas Maxwell. Wilson was charged Thursday for the bank robbery.

Coleman was charged with bank robbery Wednesday and is held on $125,000 bond.

Wilson was to be brought to Mercer County on Saturday and arraigned by Pine Township District Judge Neil McEwen, according to Maxwell. He then will be taken back to Allegheny County to deal with the pending warrant charge.

First National Bank off Route 58 in Pine Grove Square was robbed at 1:47 p.m. April 26. The suspects made off with an undetermined amount of cash, driving west on Route 58 in a stolen Chevrolet Trail Blazer.

Police did not say if a weapon was used in the robbery.
