Ruth E. Flick, 88, of Butler died early Tuesday morning at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Butler, July 2, 1921, a daughter of the late Kelly and Helen Hardy Stewart.

Ruth had owned and operated her own business, the Ruth Flick Beauty Salon, in Butler for 40 years, and she enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving are a son, Robert P. Fratto of Butler; two daughters, Donna Betres of Butler and Saundra Prokopchak and her husband, Steve Prokopchak, of New Castle; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
