Gerald Karl Roberts
Gerald Karl Roberts, 57, of Cabot died Thursday at VA Butler Healthcare after a long battle with lung cancer.
Born June 20, 1952, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of Edward H. "Harry" Roberts and Gladys Lang Roberts.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years and went on to become a maintenance control technician for the U.S. Postal Service at the Pittsburgh bulk mail center in Warrendale, from which he retired.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Butler, was a member of the American Legion Post 117 of Butler and was past president and founder of the Short Wing Piper Club of Western Pennsylvania.
He enjoyed country and bluegrass music, playing guitar and flying single engine airplanes.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Waldenville Roberts, who he married May 14, 1976; his daughter, Mandi (Jerry) Raybuck of Cabot; his son, Russell (Julie) Roberts of Abilene, Texas; his brother, Dwight Roberts of Butler; and four grandchildren, Britney, Dawson and Laya Raybuck and Jordan Roberts.
Preceding him in death were his parents.

Services will be held at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
