11:31 a.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Penny Kummer, 43, and Paul Critchlow, 48, both of Butler, collided at Hansen Avenue and Pillow Street. Kummer, who suffered a minor injury, was cited for a red light violation.8:22 a.m. Wednesday — Robert W. James, 61, of Butler was uninjured after the car he was driving caught fire while westbound on West Jefferson Street. James managed to stop the car and get out safely. His 1973 Mercedes sedan had major damage.

12 a.m. Wednesday — Omar B. Elsheikh, 19, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Cooper and Elm streets in Slippery Rock.

7:40 p.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Crystal L. Hutchins, 24, of Mercer and a car driven by Paula J. Vaughan, 44, of Volant collided at Old Ash Road and Route 208 in Springfield Township. Hutchins was taken to Grove City Medical Center with a minor injury.8:15 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Samantha Decenzo, 19, of McKeesport, Allegheny County and a garbage truck driven by Dustin C. Davis, 23, of Mercer collided on Route 208 at Tri-County Industries in Pine Township. Decenzo, who suffered a minor injury, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
