Kenneth D. Jewart
Kenneth D. Jewart, 79, of Chicora passed away Wednesday at his home.
He was born April 30, 1930, in Chicora, the son of the late Lawrence R. and S. Elizabeth (Wall) Jewart.
Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1953 to 1955.
He had worked as a carpenter.
He was a member of North Butler Presbyterian Church.
He loved hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Eileen Burkett Jewart, whom he married May 30, 1953; two sons, Eddie D. (Pam) Jewart and Gary L. (Robin) Jewart; two daughters, Lori S. (Steve) Moorhead and Brenda L. Jewart; three grandchildren, Timothy Jewart and Emily and Jeremy Moorhead; a great-grandchild, Ryan Jewart; six sisters, Arabell Moore, Mary (Dean) Adams, Rose Marie (Wyndle) Watson, Ruth Ann (Benny) McDanel, Donna Lingle and Linda Chupka; two brothers, Donald "Pop" Jewart and Clair E. "Bub" Jewart; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cat, "Trouble."
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles R. Jewart.
<B>JEWART</B> — Friends Kenneth D. Jewart, who died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Young Funeral Home Ltd.</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with his pastor, the Rev. Mary Kitchen, officiating.
