William R. Roudebush
William R. Roudebush, 84, a six-year resident of 721 Tidball Ave., Grove City, died at 2:39 p.m. Sunday at the Grove City Medical Center following an extended illness. He formerly lived in Leesburg for 40 years.
Born in Butler, Jan. 24, 1926, he was the son of Joseph Roudebush and Margaret Gold Roudebush.
He was married to Esther L. Risch on Nov. 4, 1959.
Mr. Roudebush retired in 1975 from the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co., where he worked for 20 years.
He was a member of the Church of God, Findley Township, Mercer County.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in South Africa.
Surviving are his wife, Esther, at home; two daughters, Connie Roudebush and Penny Ramp, both of Grove City; a son, Timothy Roudebush of Grove City; four grandchildren, Jackie and Jonathan Roudebush of Butler and Amanda and Nicole Ramp of Grove City; and a great-grandchild, Jasmine of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, John, Joe, Loney, Orval and Robert Roudebush; and seven sisters, Susie, Mable, Adda, Hazel, Grace, Agnes and Alberta.
<B>ROUDEBUSH</B> — Visitation for William R. Roudebush, who died Sunday, May 9, 2010, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Texter, pastor of the First Church of God, Findley Township, officiating. Burial will be in the Leesburg Cemetery.
