James R. Anthony
James R. Anthony, 87, of Worthington died Saturday at his home.
Born March 25, 1923, in Armstrong County, he was a son of the late Oliver B. Anthony and Anna (Rhyne) Anthony.
He retired from the Keystone Coal Co., and after retirement, he drove a shuttle bus for the Sugarcreek Rest home.
Mr. Anthony was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worthington.
He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and being with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his children, Mary Anthony of Worthington, Marian Claypoole of Kittanning, Edward (Leitha) Anthony of Worthington, Debbie (James) McGrady of Worthington, Kathy (Don) Stewart of Fenelton, Michael Anthony of Worthington and Deanna Burke of Fenelton; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Pauline) Anthony, who died in 1998; two sons, James and Robert Anthony; and his brothers, William C. Anthony, Oliver Anthony Jr., Gordon Anthony and Charles Anthony.
