BRIDGEWATER — Butler Cubs amateur boxers Donovan Melovich and Bobby Lockskin posted victories last weekend at Robert's Roadside Inn.

Melovich (15-2) took a unanimous decision over Nicholas Marangoni of McKeesport. Lockskin (2-0) recorded a third-round TKO over Kevin King.

Cubs boxer Dalton Covert lost his amateur debut in a first-round TKO to Aaron Bandish of Beaver County.

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. — Ryan Prokay of Grove City carded a two-round 144 to win the Trusted Choice Big "I" Pennsylvania golf tournament Thursday at Penn National Golf Club.Prokay qualified for the national tournament July 27 to 30 in New Jersey.
