10:43 a.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by George P. Tirch, 37, of Valencia hit a light pole at Renaissance and Bell drives.Monday — An unknown thief stole a red Craftsman push lawn mower from a yard in the 600 block of East Pearl Street. The mower, valued at $200, was taken between 2 and 8 p.m.
11 a.m. Monday — Amanda Kerner, 25, of Butler was cited for a burning violation in the 100 block of Freeport Road.
Monday — A red 2001 Honda 250EX four-wheel all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a home on Boyers Road in Marion Township. The theft happened between 1 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday.12:58 p.m. Sunday — Jane A. Cravener, 64, of Chicora was hurt when a Peterbilt truck struck her car on Route 38 near Thorn Drive in Oakland Township. Cravener was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.Police said the truck driver, Richard E. Ennis Jr., 21, of Reynoldsville, Jefferson County, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.1:30 a.m. Sunday — Nicole M. Papp, 19, of Portersville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 528 near Staff Road in Brady Township.
11:30 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Amanda P. Ferguson, 18, of Sandy Lake spun out of control and crashed into a ditch on Irishtown Road near Clintonville Road in Pine Township. Police said Ferguson, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.Monday — A 16-foot box truck stolen from a Springfield Township business turned up in Maryland, police said. The $8,000 truck owned by a Slippery Rock man, was taken between Thursday and Sunday from Tires For Less on Leesburg-Grove City Road.Police said the truck was recovered Monday in Prince Georges County in southwestern Maryland. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.
1:32 p.m. Sunday — Three people were hurt when cars driven by Daniel S. Toy, 22, of Kittanning and Richard A. Ilgenfritz Jr., 22, of Ford City collided head-on on Greenfield Road, near Nunamaker Road, in Manor Township.Both drivers and Anthony J. Kline, no age given, of Yatesboro, a passenger in Toy's car, were taken to ACMH Hospital in Kittanning with minor injuries.
