Rosemarie (Schmalz) Baur, 78, of Zelienople, formerly of Evans City, died peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday at Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

Born Nov. 12, 1931 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Beatrice Schmaltz.

Rosemarie was a former member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Evans City and a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople.

She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Stanionis and her husband, Robert, of Cranberry Township; and two sons, Robert F. Baur Jr. and his wife, Joan, of New Mexico, and Barry T. Baur and his wife, Patty, of Evans City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Baur, on Jan. 19, 2004.

<B>BAUR — </B>Friends of Rosemarie Schmalz Baur, who died Sunday, June 20, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME,</B> 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, Zelienople, with the Rev. William J. Ritzert, officiating. Burial will be in the Evans City Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pave the Way Fund at the Passavant Retirement Community 401 S.
