Lester D. Scott

Lester D. Scott, 81, of Lyndora passed away Friday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born July 14, 1928, in Butler, the son of the late Lester P. and Lucy (Traup) Scott.

Lester was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. He had been a member of the Free Methodist Church in Butler.

He enjoyed making things, working with his hands, and doing puzzles. He was an avid photographer.

He retired from the Western Pennsylvania Water Co. after more than 40 years.

Surviving are three sons, Larry (Sara) Scott of Butler, David (Sue Ann) Scott of Lyndora and Leslie (Cindy) Scott of New Castle; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Patton of Lyndora.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Delores (Graham) Scott; and two brothers, Harvey and Chester W. Scott.

<B>SCOTT</B> — Friends of Lester D. Scott, who died Friday, June 25, 2010, will be received at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson Street, Butler, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Drespling of Victory Christian Center officiating.
