Olive C. Nickum
Olive C. Nickum, 95, of Oakridge Drive, Butler, and formerly of Wexford died Saturday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Lancaster Township, the daughter of the late Lewis A. and Anna Zinkham Hoelzer.
Olive, who was a homemaker, mother and grandmother, attended the Westminister Presbyterian Church in America in Butler. She was a former member of the Memorial Park Presbyterian Church in Allison Park.
Her husband, Charles J. Nickum, who she married in 1938, preceded her in death in 1980. A son, Louis Nickum, and a brother, Charles Hoelzer, also preceded her in death.
Olive was a beloved mother and will be greatly missed by her children, Charles Dennis Nickum and his wife, Jacqueline Nickum of Allison Park, and Sharon N. Zandier and her husband, David E. Zandier, of Butler. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Bradley D. and Lori A. Zandier, both of Butler.
<B>NICKUM </B>— Friends of Olive C. Nickum, who died Saturday, June 26, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Ledford, pastor of the Westminister Presbyterian Church in America of Butler, officiating.
