Patricia A. Thompson, 56, of Whitestown Village, Butler, died at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday at her home.

Born Oct. 19, 1953, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of Shields Macurdy and the late Dorritt Steele Macurdy.

Mrs. Thompson was a Lutheran.

She was a painter for Pullman Standard until the plant closed in 1982. Mrs. Thompson worked at King's Restaurant, the Old Country Buffet and several other restaurants.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She graduated from Knoch High School in 1971.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, Don Thompson, who she married Feb. 1, 1980. She also is survived by one son, Brad E. Wilbert and his wife, Chasity, of Butler; three daughters, Heather Shanor and her husband, Adam, of Butler and Holly Thompson and Crystal Thompson, both of Butler; four grandchildren, Taylor, Maggie, Daelynn and Mason; two sisters, Barbara Douglas of Virginia, and Jean Renshaw and her husband, Larry, of Florida; her father, Shields Macurdy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her mother, Dorritt Steele Macurdy, and one son, Donald Kenneth Thompson.

<B>THOMPSON</B> — Friends of Patricia A. Thompson, who died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Chaplin Lance Gilbert of Vitas Hospice Service officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Chestnut Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to Thompson-Miller Funeral Home to help defray expenses.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
