Alma L. Anderson, 93, of Butler died Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Emlenton, Jan. 13, 1917, she was the daughter of Clark E. and Mary Webster Karnes.

She was the youngest of four children and was preceded in death by brothers Arnold, Wayne and Jerry.

Alma worked as a waitress at King's Restaurant and Frew's Restaurant in Butler for a short time and then at Shop 'N' Save on North Main Street Extension for several years. She also had a ceramics shop in Lyndora, where she sold ceramics and taught classes.

She is survived by a son, Grahel Gannon; and a daughter, Judy Scott Rhodaberger. Grandchildren are Shanda Renick, Quentin Scott and Kristopher Rhodaberger, Laurel Mitchell and Rachel Singer. Great- grandchildren are Zacharri Renick, Sara Archer and Alexis Hufelton; and a great-great-grandson is Skylar Renick. She also is survived by a stepbrother, Burdette Karnes and his wife, Maryanne; and two stepsisters, Dolores Rice and Maxine Wray. Also surviving are a niece, Joyce Chambers of Maryland, who she was quite close to and other nieces and nephews.

Her first husband, Grahel Gannon Sr., died in 1979, and her second husband, Owen Anderson, died in 2003.

<B>ANDERSON</B> — Friends of Alma L. Anderson, who died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
