David Elphinstone
David D. Elphinstone, 68, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and longtime resident of Sarver and Ashland, Ky., died July 4.
Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He was a retired engineer from US Steel and AK Steel and was an active member of local churches while living in Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Florida.
Dave was a proud graduate of Freeport High School and the University of Pittsburgh.
He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with family.
Dave is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Bonnie Elphinstone; daughter Pam (Randy) Newburger of Pittsburgh; daughter Sue Elphinstone of Tampa, Fla.; son Mike (Kelly) Elphinstone of Pittsburgh; granddaughter Melissa (Mike) Klug; grandson Tony Zamperini; granddaughter Grace Elphinstone; and brother Bob (Judy) Elphinstone of Portersville.
Dave was predeceased by his parents, David S. Elphinstone and Louise (Schneider) Elphinstone.
