This is in loving memory of Nancy Katherine "Kate" Leonberg, 83, of Cranberry Township, who died Sunday morning at UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Born in Callery, Dec. 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Marie Johnston Dunbar.

A homemaker, Mrs. Leonberg was a retired cook for Penn-Mar Plaza in Mars and at the Valencia Woods Nursing Center.

She especially enjoyed her large family gatherings, trips and reunions, where everyone enjoyed her cooking.

She was a lifetime member of the Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township and participated in church events especially cooking for the "Lenten Lunches."

Surviving are her husband, Oran "Bunny" Leonberg Sr., who she married Sept. 26, 1949, nearly 61 years ago. She was the mother of Douglas Leonberg and his wife, Nancy, of Slippery Rock, Lana Barthelmes and her husband, Bob, Lori Bain and Oran L. Leonberg Jr. and his wife, Lydia, all of Cranberry Township, Dean Leonberg and his wife, Cherilyn, and Duane Leonberg, both of Prospect; grandmother of Doug, Jr., Jeff, Lynn, Brad, James, Jenny, Jason, Bryan, Lindsey, Levi and Loran; great-grandmother of Zachary, Brianna, Michael, Brian, Hagen, Kaylie, Karter and Alyssa; sister of Chester "Buck" Dunbar and his wife, Mary, of Zelienople, Doris McDonald of Mars, William Grant Dunbar, James Dunbar and his wife, Pat, and Lawrence "Pony" Dunbar and his wife, Lucy, all of Evans City; and sister-in-law of Carl Blank, Frank Leonberg Jr. and his wife, Betty, and Donna Pegher and her husband, Donnie; and her caregiver and granddaughter, Jenny.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Kennedy; and two brothers, John and Clifford Dunbar.

<B>LEONBERG</B> — Friends of Nancy Katherine "Kate" Leonberg, who died Sunday, July 11, 2010, are invited to a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dutilh United Methodist Church, Cranberry Township.
